From the 21st – 26th August 2017, we worked in partnership with Telford and Wrekin council to bring a Creative Exploration residency to Telford. This took place in the Oakengates Theatre where members of the Extraordinary Bodies company worked with a local integrated group to teach them circus and performance skills, and share ideas around worth and value in society today.
“In Bristol, Nottingham and Telford we’ve brought people together through circus, writing and theatre: people who are in recovery, people with mental health problems, with physical impairments, people who are learning disabled and people living in poverty. We believe that people who are marginalised can give us a fresh perspective on how our society might value everyone more fully. Our mantra is ‘Circus for Every Body’.
