Our latest project – Take Up Space

How does it feel to be confined or stuck in one space? How does that change when
you are given room to breathe? Take up space!

Take Up Space is a joyous short film celebrating the unique movement and physicality of a wonderful bunch of artists from our 12 year journey so far, edited by award-winning documentary film maker Steven Lake.

This compelling short film explores themes of restriction, freedom and transformation. With a newly composed track created by Ted Barnes and John Kelly, who have worked with us on previous shows including: Weighting, What Am I Worth?, Human.

Take Up Space is directed by Billy Alwen and Claire Hodgson, Nandi Bhebhe has acted as movement director for this project, creating a choreography brief for the cast to respond to with their own devised movement.

Sophia Knox Miller has designed the creative audio description. The film will have captions and BSL.
