We are delighted to have been awarded crucial Culture Recovery Fund support from the Arts Council and the DCMS. Over 2,700 organisations received nearly £400 million in grants and loans to help the culture and heritage sector reopen and recover.
This money will help Extraordinary Bodies continue the work and development of our new Big Top tent. We will also employ artists and creatives working on film and design to capture our new show ‘Human’. This will help us guarantee the show reaches audiences even if restrictions return. We will also be able to hire understudies, so illness or self-isolation don’t disrupt us.
This support will allow us to take a deep breath as we begin to prepare ourselves, our artists and importantly our audiences for reopening shows. We are grateful for the support from DCMS at a crucial moment for all of us

We are so happy to have been successful in our Culture Recovery Fund application. This financial support will ensure Diverse City is in best position to pursue our creative aspirations. It will help us secure our current plans and give us a welcome degree of certainty in these difficult times.
– Jamie Beddard, Lead Artist and Diverse City Co-Artistic Director
